Yikes.

Laughing so hard.
Whhhy do I look ridiculous in at least half of the pictures that are taken of me? Whhhy? But, I'm not complainin'. If I looked decent, normal, sane, etc, I wouldn't have these beauties to share with you, and it would be one less laugh or smile in your life (can't let that happen).
So, I get online at work to google something real quick, the internet homepage is some City of Henderson employee portal. Before I went to google, I noticed a "Corporate Challenge 2009" link. I think to myself, "Huh, I wonder if this where they posted results and stuff for corporate challenge. If so, our team should have our picture up there with us sportin' a gold medal..." So I click and scroll and this is what I find!!!!
Why am I so cool? haha! Leanna, I love you!
oh and FYI. Corporate Challenge is a big deal down here. It's where a lot of major companies/businesses, etc compete in an array of different activities trying to be number 1 at the end of it all. It's a point system, so for each game, tournament, race, etc that you win, you win points for your team. I was on the City of Henderson Team (...because I work for the City of Henderson...) and our volleyball team took GOLD. AGAIN! Yah...we rock and won the whole [volleyball] thing last year too. So right now I guess we're "Champ" Status. Maybe even a legend (because few teams have ever won two years in a row! [ i wanted to say no team has ever done that...but i'm not sure and i don't want to be giving false information]). We're shooting for "Dynasty" status next year. (...but minor problem...Giulia might be in Italy at this time next year, and will probably not be employed by the City of Henderson. what will they do without her skills?) Unfortunately, the City as a whole only took 8th place. bummer. But whatevs, 'cause I have TWO gold medals! bowchickawowwow.
Here's how it went down this year: First day, ease. We breezed through our matches without breakin' a sweat. Seriously. We did not break a sweat and we were all rather disappointed. Second day, not so much. We had a really rough start in our first match and lost. Soooo....we went to the loser's bracket and worked all the way back up to the top.(that means one match right after the other, after the other, after the other...) We get to the semi-finals. We play the same team whom we first lost to, Bally's (a casino). dun dun dun dunnn. It was back and forth for a while, but we ended up winning with a good lead. Then, to secure the gold, we had to play Bally's again. That time, we totally shut them out!!!! It. was. aaawesome [i feel like i use that word way too often, but whatever]. (it's so long ago, scores and what nots have left my memory) I think Bally's had less than 5 points (...making the scrore 25-a number less than 5). It was insane! and so much fun. [and last year, (this is just so I can remember 20 years down the road) giulia totally got the block for the winning point against Nevada Power. on a men's net. totally roofed the guy, bet that sure made him feel good. What do you say to your friends?...I got roofed by this blonde chick who's 5'6"....yah, I wouldn't say anything either...](and i only bring this up now because i can't jump like that anymore. what a sad, sad, sad day.)
ps, sorry this is so chalked up with parentheses and brackets. i like them tho, so they're staying.
ciao!
more awesome pictures of Giulia. just. for. you.

kisses!
