Enchanted

I am in love with this movie!!!!! How does it not get old? (insert sigh of contentment here) pretty much the whole movie is filled with awesome one-liners. Here are a few (stolen from Ashley's blog):

"If I'm going to find the perfect pair of lips we're going to need a lot more help."

"You should sing to her! And maybe that would reassure her of your affections. You need to rush to her side and pull her in your arms and then pour your heart out in beautiful ballad. And then she'll know for sure."

"It's like you escaped from a Hallmark card or something." "Is that a bad thing?" No, it's not! :)

"I didn't know that food could taste like this" (talking about a hotdog from a street vendor). I do love me a good hotdog! ... I love baseball season!

"How come people keep giving you free stuff." I'll take free stuff any day

"How do I look?" " Slightly stunned."  "No, I mean... how do I look?"  "Beautiful." Thank YOU Patrick Dempsey!

"You want to make sure you don't wear too much makeup, because it gives the boys the wrong idea. 'Cause they only want one thing." "And what's that?" "I don't know. Nobody will tell me." What, exactly, do boys want, anyway?

My FAVORITE: Edward, singing in Robert's apartment in NYC, realizing that Giselle is not singing with him like she would have been only two days ago: "What's wrong? You're not singing." Giselle: "Oh. Oh, no I'm not. Well, I was just thinking." Edward [perplexed]: "Think-ing...?"

And just one more. A thought. At the beginning of the show, when Robert is leaving his office and telling his secretary that he's about to propose to Nancy and that he's going to tell Morgan, his daughter, the news tonight, his secretary says something about him getting her a pony so she can take the news better. Robert: "I got something better". The something that's better is a book about some of the greatest women in the world. I think this is so great! We need more parents like Robert in this world; parents whose desire is not to simply satisfy their children's every whim, but to give them knowledge and fill their heads with good things; parents who want their children to aspire to be great men and women, not the selfish, snobbish star of some stupid reality/mTV show. So thanks, Robert. I hope I'm a good parent like you someday.

Coldsore update: looking much MUCH better. Thank goodness. I picked most of the "cold sore" part off this morning. I had a great time doing it. Now, it doesn't really look like a cold sore anymore. I wasn't afraid to look at people when I talked today; i've been too embarrassed to even talk. Today was a really good day though. Classes were very uplifting, it was almost like going to church again. I loved it. Tomorrow, my first and last class is at 8:00 a.m. wahoo!!!!
