hiding out.

So, Giulia was
blessed to find a coldsore forming on her beautiful lips yesterday morning. :( Sad day. I shot up from a fabulous night's rest, immediately cursing in my head because I knew what that tingly sensation on my lip was. I ran to the kitchen, filled a glass with water, reached for my L-Lysine, and popped two of those bad boys, sighed, went to the bathroom and rubbed Abreva on the contaminated site, got ready for the day and hoped for the best. I've been able to catch my last TWO coldsores before they got out of control. Hopefully this one will be cooperative. But right now...I look like I got punched in the mouth. You see, last night I got really impatient and decided to attack the invader with Q-Tips. I squeezed and squeezed and got as much puss and blood (gross, I know) out as I could while tears of pain streamed down my face. Your lips are sensitive, and boy oh boy did this procedure hurt them! Well, right after, and even during, the draining process, my upper lip began to swell. I finished what I'd started tho, scrubbed it out with some iodine, and went to sleep hoping that the beast would be gone by morning. It wasn't. It still isn't. Did you know coldsores are a form of herpes? My mom gave it to me. But, I love her anyway. Read more about coldsores here. The good news is that I don't feel that coldsore, tingly sensation anymore. I'm thinking that I destroyed the monster, but traumatized my lip during the process. woops.
Anywho, I'm hiding out in my apartment for the day because I'd rather avoid all the questions of why it looks like I got punched in the mouth. I go to Bio-Medics every Tuesday, and I'm afraid I'll get rejected if they see me like this! I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow I will look NORMAL again. Wish me luck. And because I'm hiding out, I was having some fun on you tube. Check this out. I laughed so hard I cried. Wow, Giulia cried twice in one 24-hour time period, very strange. They were either pain or laughter induced though, so it doesn't really count, but it kinda counts. Right, Breezy? maybe...

oh and Ashley, I promise those pictures are coming soon. Tonight maybe...If I'm good and stay on task and get LOTS of school stuff done. :)

I did not give it to you...through any of those methods mentioned in your link. (very interesting information by the way) You just seem to have lucked out and have the same tendencies that I have for getting them. Luuuckyy!
The good thing - I did teach you about Lysine and Abreva. Hope it worked for you yet again.
Love and a hug
